[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpGL9fiF4pc"] This content is protected [/ame] As I had just watch last week's ESPN Friday Night Fights video. At the last part, Bernard Hopkins was asked by Brian Kenny what shot does Mosley has to give, Hopkins says: "Shane Mosley had earned to be respected, and I think that he's coming with one ball of chamber and gonna make it count and I think at the end of the day, this fight gonna be a fight that will surprised a lot of people. Some of the greatest upsets been in boxing where it was said about or was talked about upon who had a shot or who shouldnt have a shot. Shane Mosley deserved to be looked at as a guy who can pul this off. Styles makes fights. Pacquiao is about the same size. He's not a big Winky Wright or Vernon Forest......I think Shane Mosley has a great shot over Pacquiao." As there are many boxing pundits over here, how realistic is Bernard Hopkins?
I can respect the logic behind Hopkins' reasoning here, but I just don't think Shane's got it in him to pull it off.
Bernard is his friend he is saying this because its the right thing to say, whether he believes it or not is a different story. I have no doubt if this fight was 5 years ago then Shane would be winning this fight but now I dont know how much he has left. He needs to really learn how to relax because he is always soo damn tight in the first few rounds and gives them away.
Well, Shane has more chance than Clottey and Margarito put together, if he lands on Manny he is more than capable of pulling out a stoppage. But it's unlikely.... though I think the oddsmakers are a little too far in Pac's favour in this one.
That's nice, Nardo.. but reality is old man Mosley is going to get his face punched in and IMO, Pac will be the 1st man to stop Shane. I predict a Pac - De La Hoya type beat down in this one.
Hopkins is like Mosley's unofficial promoter. It was because of Hopkins Mosley got in the ring to confront Mayweather which led to their fight. Hopkins deserves a %. Mosley is gonna get a one sided beatdown.
