I thought the final straw was when Rooney posted the dude's phone number on here, not the pictures. Could be wrong though, I just caught the aftermath on the thread the next day.

I asked ESB to remove the #, and not to ban him, but someone else got to them first and he was banned.
I vote he gets to come back, I don't think he can survive without ESB.

That fight was an outright robbery. Sweet Pea won 9 rounds easy. Chavez knew it was a robbery. Look at his face when the decision was announced. Listen to the commentators when the decision is announced. There was booing in the crowds. In Texas at that time Mexicans who were die hard Chavez supporters thought Sweet Pea got robbed. So I guess the majority of the boxing world were clowns. :fire

 

They're just as dumb, but people who make a thread saying "dear pacquiao, thanks for saving boxing from the xylocaine injecting ducker floyd" are just as stupid.

My stance is why not face the real short comings of Mayweather?
Why prop 1 boxer up on a pedestal then refuse to acknowledge that he says idiotic things and has yet to achieve certain ATG traits?
Yeah he is an amazing boxer, but he goes on the radio and embarrasses himself and his fans.

I can admit Ali was an ******* to frazier, and lost to norton/frazier when he did.
I accept that cotto got beat up by pacquiao, even though it pissed me off.
I didn't come in with the weight drain bull****, because it obviously wasn't a factor.

It's this 1 boxer love that gets on my nerves, so when people make 1 boxer out to be unbeatable and amazing, I feel inclined to bring the conversation back down to earth.

Mayweather fans have a way of twisting logic and ignoring facts. They embarrass themselves when they defend this guy.

 

See thats what I'm saying...you're singling out only Floyd fans when every boxer has its fair shair of over the top fans...its just not Mayweather fans...you tend to signle out Floyd fans because of you personal dislike...I know we've had our fair share of arguements, but if you're going to say something about one groups of fans...why not address the whole issue...Thats the problem I have with you sometimes...You let your dislike for a fighter cloud your judgment.

 

No, because when presented with the facts, they get ignored by the same group of people.
Take an opposing view to any mayweather fanatic (Nallege/PimpC/Jacory) and watch them go.
They will create straw men, they will argue made up facts, and they will ignore logic.
Do pacquiao fans do it? yeah, they do too, but pacquiao is not on the radio saying "I am the best boxer to ever put on a pair of gloves"

The difference is the humility of the boxer and the boxer's fans.
I don't see anyone walking around saying "Pacquiao is unbeatable, too fast for every other boxer, going to outbox everyone else easily"

If they did they would get laughed at. But like.... 10 guys at least will say the most ridiculous things in support of mayweather.

I know what you mean about me being 1 sided on it, but Mayweather fans are relentless in trying to discredit pacquiao for catch weights and steroids. Well, neither one of those make sense.
Mayweather causes that ****. Why can't we just enjoy both boxers without hearing how one is on steroids and the other is a ducking fraud?
The conversation always ends up either A or B. I think both guys are entertaining to watch, but claiming Manny is on roids and floyd is a ***** just hurts both of their images.
The attack started on pacquiao over steroids with no evidence or proof. I just countered it like the rest of the boxing fans. then it turned into pac vs may... which turned into mosley vs may... now it's just mayweather fans against everyone else because they didn't want to accept that the steroid test thing was inserted by the mayweathers after roger and floyd sr. made the accusations.

 

You're missing the point Luke, Many people have been brash and cocky...I can name a few...Mayorga, Joe Calzaghe, Vic Darchinyan, just to name a few so that Cocky, brash attitude is amongs some good fighters!

I do agree that Mayweather has some over the top fans but look at what being said about him! Some of the **** he recieves on this board is down right pathetic! I know you understand where I'm coming from...you're smarter than that homie!:good

 

I do, but it's like this... I am all for **** talk in boxing. I grew up on that stuff.
The better a villain is, the more I am drawn to him. When I was a little kid I used to like watching the undertaker wrestle.
What I don't like is the discrediting and damaging of a boxer's reputation and career.
Steroid abuse is not "i will beat pacquiao's ass" it's "this guy has cheated his way to the top and I can't trust him enough to train clean for a fight"
recalling Shane Mosley's 5 losses, saying he took steroids and probably still is, and then saying he just wants a pay day at the end of his career because he is jealous doesn't hype a fight.
It downplays Shane's success and casts a negative light on his career.
Floyd crossed the line with Pac and Mosley. No one wants to admit that who supports floyd. I am telling you, I was a big fan of floyd when his **** talking pertained to the ring. This career ruining accusation **** is just too much. I can't support it or accept people thinking it's just fair play.
