Bernard Hopkins On Ward - Froch

Froch isn't a brawler. A brawler wouldn't be in the finals of the super 6. A brawler wouldn't have outboxed Abraham, Dirrell, and Johnson.

 

Hopkins picked Haye over Wlad.

 

He didn't beat/outbox Dirrell imo. The victory was controversial, to say the least. Not sure how you figured he OUTBOXED dirrell that is ridiculous. Yeah he did outbox Abraham and Johnson, but dirrell, bs.

But with that said, Froch does have boxing ability, it isn't flashy or the best, but he can do it when it needs too. not sure how effective it would be against Ward though, to be honest. Ward is a very schooled guy.

 

Hopkins thinks he won the first fight v RJJ.

And believes there was a second boxing contest between them.

 

Well Ward beating Froch is a smart pick, because Ward has advantages, such as skills, speed, and defense. Haye over Wlad there is NO real logical reason to this besides Haye maybe having the strength and speed to sometimes catch Wlad... Haye isnt even that much faster than Wlad... lol, Wlad is stronger, bigger, longer arms, better skills... not as quick on his feet, but why would you have to when you have a jab like his?

 

No he doesn't. That's the only loss he openly admits to. Even ole man river couldn't contest that one.

Apparently you guys weren't listening. He said Ward would beat Frowch, he didn't say anything about Ward's chances against Froch. Frowch's style is tailor made for Ward.

 

Well anyone you are allowed to get away with holding 80 times and head butting many times, is tailor made.

Somehow I don't think Froch will take it lightly if the ref allows illegal tactics from Ward repeatedly.

It will be interesting if Smoger allows Ward to do anything and Froch takes matters into his own hands and tosses him.

Will Smoger take points or DQ Froch then?

 

B-Hop is in complete control of his much above average boxing know-how and IQ so he sees the same thing I can barely sense in my humble boxing knowledge and which is obviously that Ward is in a different level, definitely prepared to deal with the unorthodox and difficult style Froch brings to the table. I could not have said it better. Bernard is the man and Ward will be the next guy to keep ur eyes on if you love pure boxing skill.
