I definitely agree. Hopkins is done talking. He'll let Dawson and the boxing world fill the void of his silence with taunts and calls of the end of his legacy, and then put them out like water on a flame.

I hope, anyways. It's a mind-game he's used before, but its also just how he feels. Nothing to say or do now but the deed that needs doing.

After watching the first two rounds of their fight again, it amazes me people exaggerate the "blistering pace" Chad was giving and how "scared and uncomfortable" Hopkins looked, so much so he just had to find a way out

 

Dawson is different animal compared to the other boxers Hopkins has faced. He's fighting a boxer who is in his prime, but we'll see.

 

Dawson is going to beat the **** out of b hop if he is focused. Remember Sr says the ***** messes with his mind sometimes he said Dirrell beat Dawson up one day in sparring back in the day

 

I definately will if Bernard pulls one off over Chad. I don't have a dislike
for Bernard I respect his 90's game and his old man survivalist tactics
(sometimes). I just think Dawson brings too many clear advantages
over Bernard (if focused). Chad sleepwalks alot, but he's called out
Bernard for years. I think he considers this THE FIGHT.

That doesn't mean anything, especially coming out of Sr. I heard Gerald McClellan used to best Holyfield in sparring. Dirrell was fighting for dear life against Abraham. Dawson has a proven chin and is tough, and most likely would destroy Abraham.

Dawson took Pascal's best punches (despite only preparing for four weeks) and was never knocked down once.

As a former Hopkins fan (that has paid to see him live. How many people can say that since we know Hopkins is SUCH a live draw) I will say that based on history of "Oscar" winning performances (no pun to DLH) and the LACK of a submitted MRI & X Ray that he's full of feces as it relates to the alleged shoulder injury.

Far as his "not speaking" this is even more hilarious. Name me once when this big mouth has done this?? He talked loud coming off the Taylor and Calazaghe loses even. Are we forgetting he also talked "LOUD" leading up to the first fight??

Good posting by "The Professor" here. Hopkins pre-fight antics, "he's been in jail" act, etc is old and tired.

While some of you are focusing on the so called lift (actually Chad slipped Bernard's predicable lead right hand and his momentum carried him into Chad because the old man's balance isn't as good as it once was) I choose to focus on the number of times he tried to come in with his classic

• Feint jab, lead right
• feint jab, lead HEAD
• foot feint, lead head

Each time he did this to come inside of Chad, Chad nullified it and it threw the old man for a complete loop. If you'd like I'll tell you the exact points of the rounds this happened.

Bernard KNOWS he's NOT going to outbox Chad on the outside. Hence, he has to find a way to get inside. Unfortunately Chad (and Scully) have pretty much figured out a way to stop boxing BIGGEST hypocrite primary option to not only put in his own work but smother him.

 

Yes this forum is full of 'former' Hopkins fans, tell me something did you start suddenly supporting Hopkins after his win over Pascal? You did? :shock:

 

Chad Dawson was struggling to keep Pascal from coming into the inside.

I know, Pascal is younger, physically stronger, more explosive than BHop.

But surely there must be more than one way to get into the inside vs Chad Dawson especially for a veteran like BHop. Hopkins even managed to get in the inside in those last 5 minutes, where he was mugging with shots to the body and head and Chad was looking pissed hence the rugby tackle.
