So are you saying that you believe the Taylor decisions weren't legitimate? In the case of an outcome being corrupt, I have no problem with a concession, but there is nothing corrupt about Hopkins getting outhustled by the younger hungrier fighter. He was beaten fair and square, there is no controversy...again you may say "I think Hopkins won", that's fine but when evaluating resume you don't get to just make up outcomes, when there are no grounds to do so. I mean no disrespect or anything, but it just doesn't fit in this context and this conversation.

in terms of how good their opponents were at the time, has to be mayweather. but bhop gets more credit for beating good opponents as an old man.

I think they were incorrect. Therefore, I'm going to treat them like Hopkins won. It makes no sense to rank Marquez, Whitaker, De La Hoya based on the fact that they "lost" to Pacquiao, Chavez, and Trinidad. It just makes no sense for me to do that. We're discussing our own personal judgements of a fighter's accomplishments in terms of resume, and so I'm going to use my own personal judgment when assessing what I think are the true outcomes of those fights. Boxing isn't like basketball, football, soccer, where winners and losers are rarely defined by factors other than the definitive parameters outlined by the rules of the game.

Reach nirvana and become a living god.

Obviously RJJ was tremendous, but for whatever reason som people treat him as if he is above any doubt. There is a reason to why Hopkins school top names while Jones gets KTFO.

Roy Jones jr, Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali. Most talented fighters ever.

Roys problem is he swept aside Hop and Toney so easily and early that he gets underrated. Should be a lock P4P top 20.

Talent yes, but Ali and SRR achieved soo much more.

Instead of seeing Jones vs Michalczewski we got to see Jones vs Kelly

Hopkins was a p4p 1 and he is still ranked highly at this age. Floyd is on top but years will tell who was who.

Just out of curiousity, what makes you say that? MW can seem biasad, but he is not beyond writing relevant and educated posts. It's the "This or that guy is a bum/fraud/homo"-posters I cant stand.

Okay Lou DiBella, you fat, stupid ****.

Just saying it doesn't make it so. The overwhelming majority of fight fans will tell you that Taylor was clearly given a gift in at least one of the two Hopkins fights, but yeah, there's no controversy. :nut

Mayweather. Hopkins has the better names but:

    1) People on this forum act like losses never happened

    2) Mayweather wins in more dominant fashion.

I'm a big Hopkins fan and it pains me to say that Mayweather clearly has the better resume P4P.
