really close. but i go with hopkins.. the deciding factor for me was, age (and to be a huge underdog at that) > weight class..

What can you do. One fighter is perfection. The other is a fraudulent politician who cant even outclass a smaller man after being given 3 tries to do so.

I've said it before, but it would be nice to see you take some sort of remedial English class so the rest of us don't have to decipher your idiotic ****ing posts.

No I disagree. i really am a mayweather fan, I don't know if you can find posts if i've posted any on here, but i think he's an ATG, I loved his KO of ortiz. BUTTTT, his resume will forever be dogged by being opportunistic.I can't even think of the last fight where Mayweather fought a top dog who hadn't been exposed in some way prior to their fight, whereas Hopkins is the one who exposes fighters. Was ricky hatton a better fighter than pavlik going into the fights? Did people think hatton was going to be the next undisputed champion and dominate for years or did they think that about pavlik? I'd say they were fairly similar, except hopkins was considered old and finished, whereas hatton was considered tailor made for floyd to beat. That is part of deciding who has the better resume. We aren't arguing who the better fighter is, it's who has the better resume. And I think Hopkins does hands down personally.

A top dog who hadn't been exposed? What kin of criteria is that? That basically limits you to undefeated fighters. For Mayweather that's late 2007, for Hopkins, 2008.

    Yes

You proved my point right here. Because if you know anything about the sport, then i'm not sure how you could think a swarming, pressure fighter, with some pop, and great foot and hand speed, like Hatton is an easier style for Floyd than a flat footed, come forward, puncher, with with little hand or foot speed like Pavlik is for a guy like Hopkins. Pavlik was way more tailor made for Hopkins than Hatton was for Mayweather. Basic rules of boxing; boxer beats puncher, puncher beats swarmer, swarmer beats boxer. Mayweather and Hopkins are boxers, Pavilk is a puncher, an Hatton was a swarmer. Your whole assessment here is based on your higher expectations of Floyd compared to Hopkins. Mayweather not only beat the better fighter, but he had a more difficult stlye matchup as well. Mayweather already fought a much better version of Pavlik in the form of Corrales, and beat him way worse than he beat Hatton.

You can have your opinion, but it's terribly flawed.

more than 60% of ESB thinks that Bhop has the better resume and only 30% thinks floyd does even with an influx of *****s on this site for the last 2 years. :deal
