Smart inside the ring and an Outstanding boxer obviously but that doesn't mean he knows how to score a fight better then the officials, Hopkins says a lot of dumb **** like his last fight trying to say he got pushed out of the ring by Joe Smith Jr.

 

Coming from Hopkins that thinks he has never lost a fight and all the times he was knocked down should be ruled a slip.

 

I agree with Hopkins, I have the fight scored 9 rounds to 3 for Pac, it was as clear as clear as could be. Pac won the fight, I suspect Arum..............

 

Well I would consider taking a statistics class if you think three people who don't know how to score a fight will have that much agreement. Just take three random fan scorecards and you will see how random they are. The 8 judges who scored this fight were very consistent on how they scored the fight. The fans for pac were all over the place on their scorecards. Who would you believe? The judges scorecard who were very close on how they saw the fight or fans who are all over the place but all agree that Manny won. I think you have to consider that judges know what they are doing and you don't.

 

I would highlight the word TRAINED here. All these fans and sportswriter scorecards are just as worthless as the paper or computer screen they were written on. Who cares how many FANS think Manny won. I didn't know boxing was scored on a popularity contest or what Jeff's face looks like.

 

No, I disagree. I know all the judging criterias, and most time I trust my own judgement. Pac won by landing the cleaner punches. I don't put any judges reputation above mine.
And most time those experience judges are outdated and old and in my opinion needs their licence reviewed.

 

Of course you do. You are the center of your world just like I am the center of mine. You in your own mind are infallible. This reminds me of Christians arguing over bible verses and they each think they are right. The judges were correct and agreed with most of the fight. The fans not so much.

 

You also have to remember scoring is done on an independent angle not from live TV.

 

I believe in no god and you are correct, when it comes to boxing I believe I can judge better than the judge.
Make no mistake, I thought Horn did well as a bigger man by out muscling and roughing up Pac pushing him back, but still I score who connect with cleaner punches each rounds and that was Pac.

 

You cant wish controversy away, fans and journalists have not nor will never completely surrender to the opinion of the judges, accepting them as an enlightened minority that knows better than the rest of us. What you are asking for has never happened in this sport.

 

Yes and it's stupid that we and public "accept" these robberies.oh it's boxing it's normal.

Those gangsters needs to start take responsibility of their actions.

And the rules of scoring should be the same for fighters. Sometime you get points for being aggressive and sometimes you get points being defencive. Just depends who is fighting against who.

So I found something interesting. If you go to MMA decisions which is a fan scorecard website you can see average per round scorecards by fans. Its a sampling of 17 fan scorecards for this fight. On average the fans scored rounds 1,2,4,6,10, and 12 more likely percentage wise for Horn. Pac rounds 3,5,7,8,9,11. Sounds familiar. Very close to what the judges had. I think individual fan scorecards are worthless but in a round by round poll it might be useful. Maybe we should just turn Boxing into American Idol so everyone gets a vote.
