Back in 1991 Bernard Hopkins returned to Graterford Prison, his home for 5 years, for a boxing exhibition.

Hopkins sparred 2 guys, one being Steve Little (R.I.P.).

After Little passed away from cancer, Hopkins donated $100,000 to Little's widow.

I can't believe Hopkins paid a man to take a dive against cancer.

That's in bad taste That is typical of Bernard he does a lot to help people in need without wanting any thanks. He's one of the good guys

Sometimes boxing can be so badass... Kind of a legendary occurrence, really.

Bernard's act suggests he has no class, his actions prover otherwise.

Never knew he donated money to Steve Little's widow, especially such a large sum considering at the time Little died Hopkins was not a star and making about $100K per fight.

Yes Hopkins can be bit of an ass, says and does things to rub people up the wrong way like when he threw the Puerto Rican flag down or the whole "white boy" debacle but in reality under all that he can be a nice guy.

It's showmanship. Playing the bad guy.

It's so WWF I'm suprised anyone actually buys into it.

Bernard ain't no saint by a long stretch, read how he tried to screw Lou Dibella over.
Man does good from time to time but when he needs to he can be a total lying snake.

Never seen this before, great footage. Billing him as a future world champion. Little did they know he still would be in 2014.

Luckily he didn't do time at the same prison as Rakim Oakes.
