he has retired before and it only lasted a few days.

i think a roy jones fight might tempt him.

Hopkins haven't announced his retirement yet.

He retired a few years ago only to come back and beat Tarver silly but this time he didn't even talk about retirement. He should fight Dawson or Jones if Calzaghe choses Pavlik.

if he still wants to fight, i'd prefer a rematch with jones. But retiring is better..he doesn't need to prove anything at this point.

I don't think he has anything to prove, but I would like a rematch with RJJ.

Calzaghe shouldn't fight RJJ, he should take on a younger, more hungry fighter, rather than a past it Yank looking for a pay day.

Hopkins couldn't secure a fight with Pavlik for the life of him. Bernard has no draw and can't bring much money to the table. Then he's a stylistic nightmare too. Kelly could make more money with 10x easier fights against guys like Duddy in MSG, or any tomato can in Ohio. That's not to say Pavlik isn't going to take tough fights, but not someone like Bernard who is largely unexciting and disliked here in the States (when we could get some folks who love to throw hands goin at it).

If Roy Jones Jr and Calzaghe are tied up with one another...I'd say the next best thing is a fight with Kessler or Byrd at 175.

A win over "Former world heavyweight champion" Chris Byrd wouldn't compare to his bigger wins...but it'd be one more feather in the cap of a living legend.

Hope he retires for good. He's one of the reasons why boxing isn't getting any new fans here in the US.
