I doubt he'll retire when he just lost a split decision to a fighter of the highest calibur in Calzaghe. It don't have to be all or nothing. He can still make alot of money, still yet, fighting Jones, Byrd, and several others. Its not the top, or go home. Maybe Hopkins will be content to fight on, knowing that Calzaghe is above him. But you never know. Money is a huge motivator.
So let me get this straight, you had Hop winning 2 rounds and Joe winning 2 rounds. Did you have the rest even and Hopkins winning the fight by virtue of his knock down?
if it does turn out to be the end much respect to the guy i never used to be the fan but ive been won over by his dedication to his job and the sport he loves, hes a true legend and his ring savvy is amongst the best ever il miss watching him perform his "craft" he is a master of the ring
