The only reason I want to see him retire for is, there are times where he already speaks like hes on the cuff of being a bit punchy. Id hate to see 2 or 3 fights more be the ones that tip him over that edge into really being punchy. But damn.... a fight with Froch at 168 would be pretty awesome.
So were Haglers. How does he rate again? Also not sure why you highlight 'he makes people fight his fight' Thats simply a fact. The other stuff is completely debatable, but he does make people fight his fight. Period.
if Bernard feels he's up to it and father time isn't catching up on him, then he should continue fighting, though he really deserves a retirement after 25 years as a pro boxer
Hopkins got caught by Pascal and Cloud. Those guys are big punchers but Hops has a good chin when he needs it. He could of retired ages ago. He was written off as old against Trinidad back in 2001! His opportunity came late in his career and he capitalize on it and has had some of his best wins at 40+ years of age.
I called it after the Tarver fight - perfect opportunity to retire for good - that he'll fight until he's 50. Ppl. called me crazy but I could see the desire in his eyes. That young man was nowhere near the finish line, and will not be until his body gives up on him.
