Bute seems to be taking the Slappy Joe approach to his career (staying at home, fighting fringe contenders) so taking on old ass Hopkins would fall right in line with that.

However, I'm not giving up on the guy (he's still young) and hope he fights Dirrell (in Canada) then Froch (A.C. or England) to earn a shot at Ward (Vegas) or get knocked down a peg.

Pascal did the same over 4 times.

Bute-stains: "He wont go to LHW", how about even trying to pan out something like a catchweight scenario? Bute flat out said NO.

I think it was 8 times he aims for a record breaker.

Bute dropped the ball on that one. Hopkins was willing to drop to 171lbs and fight in Canada where he already fought Pascal twice. Would've been a major fight and Bute probably would've won similar to Taylor & Calzaghe over Hopkins.

N.O. F.U.C.K.I.N.G. W.A.Y!!!! Bute vs. Andrade 3 might be more entertaining. That doesn't make it a legit fight. Man, what am I saying?! All Bute's fights are entertaining IMO.

Bute doesn't really have any options right now. Just like during the S6, everyone is busy or unwilling.

There was no need to go to LHW 'till now. Now it's time. Well, maybe not LHW but a catch weight.

If you were well informed, you would know that Pascal flat out said NO to a catchweight. (At least, in the past)

He might accept now, since he's in the same situation Bute's in.

S6 was always going to take approximately 2+ years, a catchweight fight or a fight at LHW would not have destroyed Butes further chances of fighting at SMW.

But, for you, its a legible excuse for him not fighting top quality opposition.

Answer me just one question: why isn't he fighting Froch next? That is a great option.

Froch said he's fighting in England in May in a stay busy fight, then would look for a big fight against Bute or Kessler. Said he's a little burned out right now. Bscene had the interview.

I never heard nor read such a thing, he said he can't make 168lbs safely.

You just want me to **** on canadian boxers, I can't.. I know a thing or two about the sport, I have great adulation for fighters from the past such as George Dixon, and modern fighters such as Pascal.

The thing about Pascal is he fights anyone, anywhere and at any time, he's proved it before. He thinks you guys are worth more than you receive from Bute and interbox, thats right out his own mouth! Yet you **** on him for telling the truth!

And Canadian boxingfans can fill seats outside of the canadian border aswell, they always have. George Dixon made his name in NYC in a time when black figthers weren't treated equally, as we know.. Lucian Bute can fight Dirrell anywhere in the US/Canada and still have a major fanbase come support him, so don't give me the bull**** excuses.

I'm really repulsed by Bute and Interbox at this point, they're a bunch of no good homecooking paper belt jokers.

The single biggest travesty in all of this is people such as yourself who have no knowledge of the sport, will have more respect for a paper fraud such as BUTE than a warrior and an ATG like George Dixon.

And for those of you who dont know **** about boxing, George Dixon was the first black featherweight champion of the world. (He was Canadian)

No. That is not a reason. That happened after Bute vs. Froch negotiations fell off. You just pointed me out the effect, not the cause. Of course the guy won't wait an eternity. I want to know the reason for which Bute vs. Froch ain't happening.
InterBox should make a press conference, like they do when they announce Bute's next adversary, to explain the fans what really happened.
It's the third time negotiations failed, after Pavlik and Kessler. All are shrouded in mystery. We have only few words articles based on which us, boxing fans, make mere assumptions. InterBox must make it clear if those guys are ducking. Being "mister nice guy" in a situation like this makes you look stupid in front of your fans. In my book, the only one that has been proved to duck Bute is Ward. For the rest I'm still waiting explanations.
So InterBox must came and say: "guys, here is our version: we offered this, the guy has initially said yes to that offer but now he is refusing to fight us for no apparent reason, without providing explanations".
As I said in another post: with huge fan base comes huge responsibility.

LE: For Christ sake, we don't even now if Bute - Froch negotiations have really failed or if they are still negotiating. Once again, we are left to make assumptions.

Hmm where should I start.. 1st, I don't want you to **** on Canadian Boxers, I like both Bute and Pascal, I just wanted you to get your facts straight. Since Pascal told several time that, now that he's a full LHW, when he does the 175 limit, his fat % is around 4 or 5% (don't remember exactly) and he also said that going below that would be dangerous, so he wouldn't fight below 175 anymore.

And I don't say this to dis Pascal, he's got a better resume than most LHW and SMW, I don't deny that and I'm a fan of his for his warrior spirit.

So what you're saying is that Bute should fight Dirrell in Detroit since George Dixon (who fought more than a ventury ago) brought his fan base from Nova-Scotia to New-York?

But you seem perfectly fine with Stieglitz tho...no bad word on him coming from you. Wonder why... hmm probably because he isn't more respected, loved and higher rated than his rival, the Modern Fighter that you have a great adulation for such as Pascal.
