I dont really want to see a rematch, i think it would be the same ugly fight thanks to Hopkins, but with joe winning by a clearer margin...
You guys are all about how Hopkins didn't decide to go for it in their first fight and because he's said he will go for the KO from now on that he can magically turn up the heat in a second fight and beat Calzaghe. Well he didn't KO Pavlik despite dominating him for 12 rounds. You completely disregard Calzaghe's presence in both situations. You misinterpret Calzaghe's class in denying Hopkins a rematch (and another big payday) as fear of Hopkins. Calzaghe had everything to do with why Hopkins struggled for 12 rounds and looking for rest breaks against him. Hopkins demolition of Pavlik proves Hopkins is capable of dominating a one-dimensional fighter, but put him in with Calzaghe a second time and you'll see another 12 rounds of spoiling tactics from Hopkins because he can't hang with the much fitter, faster and busier Calzaghe. It's really quite simple.
If Hopkins didn't have a chance of winning like some on here say, Joe would sign to fight him in a heartbeat.
i'd rather see Hopkins and Calzaghe fight again, I think Calzaghe would probably beat Dawson, I think Hopkins Calzaghe II would be more competitive. I would pay to see that again. But I wouldn't pay to see Dawson losing a decision to Calzaghe. I cant really say im impressed with him since his loss to Glen Johnson, sure he beat tarver, but big deal.
