Who wins and why.. Apologies if it's been done before... Can't see either stopping the other in a tight fight.. Who takes it

Hagler outworks Hopkins for a clear decision or possibly late stoppage.

Hagler wins a 10-5/9-6 type decision.

It goes to points with no knockdowns and it's not pretty to watch but Hagler takes it by two to three rounds.

Hopkins by decision for me. He's more adaptable and can make strategic decisions in the ring on the fly. He would present problems Marvin would not quite solve. He also has one of the best right leads i've seen, a great punch vs a southpaw.

Marvin always had problems with slick boxers who were taller than him. Watts, Monroe, Colbert and Leonard all gave him fits. Styles makes fights in this one. In my opinion Hopkins wins by close points nod.

    Hagler.

Not a doubt in my mind. Too versatile, too hard, too consistent.

His resume is a list of stone killers compared to most of Hopkins' list, and he handled them all. Popkins would wish he was back in the clink if he had to face Marvellous ;)

I agree with the majority, so far. Hagler on points. Maybe 8-4 (12 rds) or 9-6 (15 rds).

About right. Something tells me Halger blows a few rounds.

Hagler but it wouldn't be easy. He can't outspeed Hopkins like Jones did. I think Marvin's strength and work rate would carry him to a rather close UD. He wouldn't let Hopkins get away with mauling/holding. He's too strong to get shut down by that type of stuff. He'd break free and punish Bernard on the inside. He'd work the body if he got frustrated with Bernard's good defense against head shots.

Hagler by anywhere from 11-4 to 8-7, in certain instances. He another level from Bernard, as great as Hopkins is.

I don’t pick against Hagler often and rate him #1 at Middleweight. I just believe that Hopkins would outpoint him in this fight. It would be close and since I love both of them I wouldn’t really be disappointed either way. Not sure I agree with some blowout cards but to each thier own.

I'll take Hagler, but not with much confidence. As a couple of others have mentioned, Hopkins would match up well against Hagler and definitely had the style to cause the Marvelous one some problems.

Tough fight to call. I'm leaning towards B-Hop on points. This fight would definitely go to the cards.
