Bump. Just want to see more people comment on this Virtuoso performance!!! seriously. Isn't that one of the best performances of all-time. Winning every round against someone who was smashing through everyone, including the man that had twice beaten you. I'm starting to think B-Hop really got to Pavlik at the weigh-in. I'll be surprised to hear Jack Loew's excuses....I mean, Pavlik wasn't in it AT ALL! I was expecting a Margarito-like resurgance, but instead, B-Hop kept turning it up. He had him really hurt in the last round IMO. When he hit him with a series of Bolo Punches I laughed out loud. It was a truly awesome performance. Pavlik's good, but I fear someone with decent handspeed, a decent physical stature and decent pop will K.O him. He can be shook. I'm starting to think Paul Williams vs. Kelly Pavlik isn't such a mismatch after all. If Williams beats Verno Phillips for the IBF LMW title, and then fights, I dunno, Vernon Forrest or moves up and fights Felix Sturm, would anybody favour Williams to beat Pavlik?
Bernard took him to school.just like I said he would. No way a MW comes up to LHW to beat Bernard, not even at 43...45..50.Just doesn't happen
I do feel a lil silly now for pickin Pavlik. Bernard deserves all the props and respect and should keep on trucking. :good
A couple of pages back I pretty much say the same thing! I think it makes Calzaghe look even better, but apparently it means B-Hop was robbed.
I feel your frustration mate. Some on here never cease to amaze me. Anyone who knows anything about boxing cannot deny Calzaghe being effective and knowing how to win yet the haters give him nothing whatsoever. For every idiot on here there is at least one guy who knows his stuff and it's them that give me faith.:happy
****in amazing performance. The man is a freak! He has no business fighting to that standard at his age. I hate to be a bore, but I am pleased that Calzaghe will now get more credit for his victory over the old *******.
Who thinks there is a chance Hopkins was on some kind of 'juice' for that fight? I mean, seriously, his punch output and aggression were off the scale - he even wanted to continue fighting after the final bell He knew he ran out of steam against Calzaghe despite training to the max..............only one way round that problem folks. It is possible guys. I'm afraid that Bernard is a proven cheat so I can't give him the benefit of my doubt. Great performance but I reckon he cheated.
NOPE. Its just the difference between fighting Joe Calzaghe and other 'middle' weighted fighter in the world today. Don't forget how good he looked against Tarver. Good before Calzaghe, sensational after. Calzaghe is the difference. Not ****in juice.
