Bernard Hopkins vs. Beibut Shumenov & Peter Quillin vs. Lukas Konený RBR

How can anyone get on the Hopkins bandwagon? His fights are always ****. Same thing tonight. Shumenov was made to order. This guy is a champion? No way.

 

Why are you minimizing Shumenov? He's a proud Kazakh warrior and probably from your standpoint is genetically/racially acceptable.

 

What's funny are all those posters who created threads about how Shumenov was going to win by KO/TKO, but are now calling him a bum.

 

Exactly, Stevenson is with Al Haymon now for a reason now to make the Hopkins fight

Hopkins isnt just gonna retire and completely duck the best 2 in the division

 

I saw that, Ornelas clocked Bernard more times than the cards would have you believe

Then he goes and turns back time against Pascal

Hopkins is going straight to those remaining two and has the positioning to make the fights happen.

What if...I mean, I'm afraid to say it, but what if...what if Hopkins actually fights both Stevenson and Kovalev and beats them both!!! :think

Regardless Shumenov was a world champion you make it sound as if its easy, its the way he stops his opponents workrate and makes them miss is a site to see

He makes boxing look so easy but then you see fights like Porter vs Malignaggi and realise how hard it is to dodge punches

 

What did Shumenov say in his post fight interview

 

He wanted to know how much money you put on him and he apologised to you

 

I watch fights to be entertained. Hopkins never entertains. All people can say is, Oh, wow, look how old he is and can still fight at this level. Who cares? The guy is con man who laughs after every fight how easy the money is. They shouldn't even carry his fights. He is that bad.

 

Shumenov looked overwhelmed, but I think Hopkins must be given credit for that
