I would not be quick to count Bernard out in this one, but he's getting up there. I could foresee scenarios where either man wins a close and competitive match-up, and I can even envision outcomes where Hopkins wins a wide decision, or Froch beats Bernard up the way he did Bute and stops him.

There is a possibility this actually could turn out to be an interesting fight, but I'd be surprised if something like this actually came together.

At some point enough is enough for Bernard. I mean how much longer can he be fighting the elites in the sport?

I think the fight should take place at 175 if they did it. I think Carl can carry the extra weight well.

I think Hopkins can drain down to 170 though. Might hurt a little but he can make it.

I would take Froch UD at any weight.:thumbsup

I'm talking if they fought today.

You would take Bhop over Froch at 75?

pickem fight. Granny is too old for an offensive fighter in Froch, but IDK if Froch can carry that weight to 175.

HBO championship boxing. I don't think it would do more than 200k at the very very most. I mean Hopkins just does not sell PPV's these days.:good

Even Hopkins would tell you there's always the chance something like that can happen in boxing.

I didn't say that was the most likely scenario, but I can certainly envision that possible outcome.

I think it would go to the final cards and be quite close myself. I can see either man edging it.

But a wide points victory for Bernard or an ass-whopping from Froch are scenarios I can see possibly playing out.

Bernard is close to 48 for ****'s sake. Even he knows he cannot defy Father Time forever. Now I'm not saying it would necessarily catch him immediately, but the possibility is there. Yeah, I know. People have said that about Bernard for years. But how much longer can he remain competitive with the elite?

By knows means a walk in the park for Froch, Hopkins will be a stylistic nightmare as Froch has problems with defence on the inside. I'd go with Froch by SD/MD. But I'd prefer it at 175. **** this cathweight ****.

Hopkins movement could still give Froch problems and I would have had Hopkins a big favourite a couple of years ago but now it would be a tough fight. Hopkins has gotten old he looked slower than ever against Dawson and Pascal.

I'd still favour Hopkins to win but at his age Hopkins could fall apart at any point.
