Porter jumps in and lands hooks. Thompson keeps leaning down and trying to hold. Porter is going a bit hog wild. Thompson is able to duck and maneuver through the storm. Porter settles down and starts jabbing up from the outside. Body shots when Thompson moves forward to clinch to stay off the ropes. Left hook to the jaw by Thompson as Porter came in telegraphing a right hand! Double jabs by Porter zipping in.

If Thompson let his hands go from outside he might be able to steal a round or two.

Porter isn't hard to hit, or to make miss from range (as long as you don't give him time to leap). Hell, he's easy to make miss at point blank. Fast hands, but so wild and sloppy...

 

Round 6

Big straight flurry by Porter, catapulting himself inside. Thompson catches him with a flush uppercut! Nicely timed. Porter keeps making the same mistake, soaring in with straight lefts and rights up top. More uppercuts by Thompson. Suddenly Porter opens up after landing a leaping hook! Thompson hurt!! Porter flurries nonstop! Landing about half his shots, and half of those are rabbit punches...but they're all unanswered. Thompson doesn't go down, but his arms do. Big left upper-hooks to the face by Porter. In steps the ref.
