Bernard Hopkins vs Chad Dawson - Where is the hype?

you're right about the lack of hype.. I'm looking forward to seeing mitchell fight and hope this one doesn't suck like the 1st

 

I guess the lack of hype is ******ted, because we either get a boring spoilerfest, a young guy outboxing a old dude or one looking for a way out.
Didn't expect b-hop vs Dawson 1 to deliver, and expect the same for the rematch.

 

it's because Hopkins won't find a way to get to Dawson, in the first fight, the first rounds showed what would've happened had the fight gone on

this'll be a boring contest, Dawson jabbing away, throwing in the occasional combo, while Hopkins will try frantically to find a way inside

 

Itl be up to Hopkins to make this fight interesting. Dawson is the one that will not provide the excitement

That kinda sums it up actually... you know it's going to bore the hell out of you if b-hop has to be the one making the fight :yep

 

I wouldn't make too much of that 2 rounds in their first scrap. I see Hopkins fighting completely different this time, more aggressive. Hopefully.

 

So you think the first two rounds of any Hopkins fight is enough to predict how they will pan out? Did you see the first Pascal fight?

 

You do know that Hopkins is a really slow starter, don't you?

yes I did, and not discrediting Hopkins, he made a very nice comeback, put Pascal gassed out in the later stages, same as in the second meeting

but against Dawson, I don't see that happening, primely because Dawson is a safety first kind of fighter
