I think Hopkins is gonna win this fight because of Dawson's mental lapses and the fact that Dawson doesn't know how to adjust well in fights when things aren't going his way. As soon as Hopkins figures him out, the fight is over and easy win for Hopkins. Btw, who in here is gonna order this fight?

Meant to vote Dawson. Dawson will beat Hops with movement. May be boring to some, but that's obviously about the only way Chad can beat him. Not get drawn into an inside fight.

Dawson deals well with veterans and makes best use of activity, volume and effective scoring. That was seen against Tarver twice and Jonhson twice. Happens that Hopkins is slicker, adjusts fast and has an excellent sense of how the scorecards are at each and every moment. In my personal opinion, it all depends on Hopkins willpower to go on and look yet for another future big fight. If Nard's in there to accomplish what was written in the WBC's contract with JP, himself and Chad, then he may suffer the same end as of Tarver and Johnson and that is behind on the scorecards. If not, then he will engage and look for physical contact and make Dawson pay for his own reluctance to engage.

Based on speed, movement and youth, Dawson should get a decision. But Dawson seemed unfocused in his last fight. And obviously came unhinged against Pascal. If he has any mental breakdowns against Hopkins he'll lose the fight.

Chad stops him. His style is too much for Bernard

That'll be first and a bold statement at that.

either way. The fact Dawson has Manny Steward helps him a lot. I think they are going to put the pressure on Hopkins in a way not many guys have in recent years.

Dawson is a sucker for the right hand and we all know how much Hopkins loves to throw it

Hopkins is going to maul Dawson. Dawson doesnt throw enough and barely moves around the ring. If he fights BHOP the way he fought Pascal or Diaconu, he's going to be in a world of pain and confusion.

Voted could go either way though if I had to guess I'd say Dawson. Too much speed, Steward in his corner.

Tough fight for Hopkins, always has been. Dawson's speed, movement, good workrate and most importantly good agility and mobility are the keys to victory here. Dawson isn't another slow footed Tito or Pavlik and he isn't going to be outworked by Hopkins like Pascal was.

But Dawson isn't Calzaghe either, while he does throw combinations and set a good workrate he throws in spurts and doesn't apply the kind of pressure that Calzaghe did to beat Hopkins.

Dawson will have to outbox and outpoint Hopkins and while he seems to have every physical advantage his bad habits could see him out smarted by the crafty veteran. Pascal has a bad habit of firing a combination and then admiring his work and leaving himself open to be countered where Hopkins is so effective.

I see Dawson just doing enough to win a close decision, youth will win the day. I hope I'm wrong I really do but this has always been a bad style match up at this stage of Hopkins career.

Got Hopkins here in a close one. I think he'll pin-point enough flush straight right hands and do enough bullying/roughing to grab the decision.

How is it that a few years ago, Mayweather called Dawson the best fighter in the world and now he regresses like this? I still think this is a bad style matchup for Hopkins. Dawson won't give Hopkins many openings. This fight will be very, very boring. Dawson will fight a safe fight and use his reach and jab, jab left. And mix in combinations once in a while.

I think it will be super close either way. If Hopkins can beat Dawson, that would be an amazing achievement again.

Dawson will win, as long as he does sit back too much, which I do not think Steward will let him. Do not see Hopkins having much of a shot, unless the judges just give it to him.
