I was a fan of Felix but he isnt in the same l.eague as a Hopkins and I have no doubt in my mind that Bernard would also stop him.
Felix's best punch was by far his excellent jab. Nobody was better at taking that punch away from an opponent than Bhop. BHOP takes him to school.
In all honesty ODLH showed it on his face after they declared him the winner. Everybody already knows..
I'm kind of surprised this fight didn't happen after ODLH-Hopkins, but then again, I'm not sure Sturm had any interest in coming back to the US after getting ripped off on the score cards (from my recollection).
Howard Eastman was ranked number 1 and had a record of 40-1 at the time, so he was a more deserving challenger at the time. Then after that Hopkins lost to Taylor, so maybe Hopkine could of fought Sturm after Eastman, if Sturm was willing to travel USA again. But Eastman and Taylor were very good opponents regardless.
I remember thinking it was a logical fight to make at the time as Sturm got exposure via the ODLH fight and it left a bad taste in peoples mouths. The Eastman fight also made sense but the wind had been taken out of Howard's sails somewhat after to Joppy (still a good opponent). Anyway, them the breaks sometimes
