Athletic fighters gave hopkins issues not slow come forward guys like ggg. Hopkins beats him at 154 or 160.

We agree Taylor had an awesome jab. His reach was a huge advantage too. But he didn't fight in an athletic way at all. More athletic than Gennady? Yes, but not to a point where it was prevalent in fights.
That Golovkin guy also has a blazing jab too don't forget.

    Hardly beat Hopkins ass.

But peak Taylor did beat a 40 year Hopkins in his last attempts to make 160 and who had already begun having to fight more economically due to his age.

Hopkins 3 years prior beats Taylor.

Prime vs prime this would be a great fight at 160. Hopkins had great defence and a solid chin, while GGG has a solid beard. Don't see a KO, maybe GGG's jab gets him a decision, but then again Hopkins messed with the heads of a few fighters and may have befuddled GGG. Pickem fight.

Hopkins would win but why at 154. Don’t remember Hopkins fighting at that weight or did he?

Never seen GGG at 154 so it's hard to tell. It could even be that he handles the cut better than Hopkins in which case Hops is in deep trouble.

160 would be a more natural weightclass for either.

    Hopkins would get TKO'd.
Golovkin wouldn't go easy on him like Kovalev did and just point fight.
If Hopkins tried to get on his bike, he's not fast enough to avoid Golovkin.
If he tried to fight inside with all his dirty tricks, Golovkin would land a lot of hooks and uppercuts.
There would likely be a Curtis Stevens 'jus seen a ghost' moment or two but I don't think Golovkin smashes him out the ropes like our good friend Joe Smith.

Who is to say a younger Bhop who didn't have to fight "more economically due to his age" wouldn't have fought more aggressively and possibly have gotten knocked out for taking more risk? You are just assuming he would automatically be better without accepting any more variables. A different (and younger) Bhop fighting differently as you suggest doesn't equal success like the majority of boxing fans love to wrongly assume with their logic.
Just like everyone thinking young Tyson beats everyone and King Kong and Godzilla all on the same night, cuz for 2 and a half years he was an army killing monster then like a light switch he instantly turned into a pumpkin... But man... If he had fought Lennox and Holyfield in his 2 and a half year prime = bodybags. Lol

nah, they were trash before gg even thought about fighting them. Some of them, like veneno rubio, were not only trash, but old too and looking for retirement. A career built on names like macklin, ishida, monroe jr, veneno rubio... man, that CV IS PURE TRASH. Utter crap.
