Depends when. When Gerald was at his peak, Hopkins was getting hurt by the likes of Echols and Allen. Would be interesting.

Prime for prime I would bet the farm on Hopkins.

When Gerald was at his peak, vs. hopkins in 97 which I think Hopkins was at his peak.

Oh man, Hopkin's would dismantle him. A one trick pony with a decent body attack against the versatility of Hopkin's?

Hopkins would have outboxed him in clear fashion.

I would take Hopkins at most if not all points along their respective careers...

I'm big fans of both, McCllelan was a beast who hit very, very hard.

However, Hopkins has probably forgotten more than Gerald ever knew. You have to be more than a big puncher to beat a fighter such as Hopkins.

Hopkins would punish McClellan with a solid coutner attack, wait for Gerald to commit, make him miss, then make him pay!

He really wasnt a one trick pony, but he was not progressing as a fighter like he was under Steward. Hopkins could be hurt and I think Mclellan punched a lot harder than Echols and Allen who disrupted Hopkins quite a bit in a couple of their fights. Hopkins was the better fighter overall but Mclellan could hurt anyone early and was dangerous early.

Hopkins wins easily. Gerald McClean works in the same team as me, and he is no boxer. How do you know him TS?

Hopkins can outbox GMAN but Gerald's speed and power will see him land and hurt Hopkins early imo and he just might score the early knock out. I lean towards Hopkins on points

Prime for prime McClellan looks absolutely silly getting embarrassingly spanked by Hopkins. In G-Man's prime I have no idea.
