Hopkins by decision.hes more versatile than Toney who basically always fights the same way.

'91-'94 Toney v '97-'01 Hopkins is the fight I'd love to see more than any other possibility. I have no idea who would win. Gut feeling: Hopkins razor-thin SD.

Toney turned down a fight with hopkins when he was the IBF champion, i wouldn't say he ran because hopkins wasn't a big name, but now looking back i think he may regret not taking the fight.

I think hopkins wins a close fight by 116-112

Wow, what a tough choice here....Toney at MW was a beast that probably couldve hurt Hopkins....I'm still unsure but leaning towards a Toney decision based on clean, EFFECTIVE, punching

James Toney, at Middleweight would have ASSRAPED Bernard "Cream of wheat man" Hopkins. James Toney today, on the street, in the ring or at a bar would beat the living **** out of Bernard Hopkins, 7 days a week, twice on Sunday and you can quote me on all of that. :good
