Depends, if the evidence of the Ornelas fight is anything to go by, could be, as Hopkins really looked to of slowed down in that fight, that said, the Calzaghe fight might of led you to believe the same, but look what he did to Pavlik, of coarse Pascal is a little more difficult style wise than Pavlik, but he is also NOT, Roy Jones jr, infact I believe he has a tendency to leave himself open.

Jones was a really smart fighter, that, along with his physical attributes, allowed him to get away with things, I dont think Pascal has 50% of what Jones has in terms of Boxing IQ, but Hopkins does.

Hopkins at anything more than 50% of his best should school Pascal. I reckon he had a lucky night against Dawson!

although pascal likes to show boat, he wouldnt be stupid enough to do so against bhop, when he fights very talented fighters pascal really sticks to his game plan set by his coach

I dont see that many similarities between Pascal and Jones, so id say no. Pascal bounces and lunges in with flurries. Roy was always in command of the ring and even though he would go in and out, his feet were always in an good position and he didnt smother himself. He rarely gave up his height. Pascal is less fluid and tends to fight in spots. Hes more like a Mormeck or Holyfield in terms of style imo. I think he beat hopkins more because of his will to win and overall physical stregnth, youth, and punching power. Hopkins is far more skill, but hes an old man and not a big enough puncher to keep Pascal a step behind him. Not this time.

style wise pascal beats pure boxers/counterpunchers.

Hopkins is going to lose this one and I think he knows it too... age finally caught up with him. His last real touch of brilliance was the Pav fight 2 years ago, and after that he outpointed Ornelas and RJJ's corpse in 2 incredible stinkers of bouts.
Now he has to fight the #1 LHW (huge step up from those 2 bouts) not long before he turns 46. I'm surprised how many fans still think he will win, must be the "never count b-hop out clause".

What makes you think that pure boxers/counterpunchers are tailor made for Pascal.

Money... :think He even said it was probably going to be his last big fight.
Of course he hopes to pull it off and get a shot at Haye or something, but I think he knows he's on the end of the road here.

Everyone was saying the same just before the Pavlik fight, infact they were all certain Bhop would get KO'd and look what happened there, time waits for no man but BHop has still got enough left to take this one IMO
