Bernard Hopkins vs. Karo Murat & Peter Quillin vs. Gabriel Rosado RBR

Hopkins says you can still be smart and commit to a game plan while letting the fans smell blood and taking some risks and getting hit a few extra times gambling for a knockout.

He warns young boxers to never take a mandatory lightly.

He says he let Murat come to him because he is a "comer" - not a quick guy, but heavy-handed and patient. He says that he is the crazy old man in the dark alley waiting to spring out at him. He adds that he is 'a freaking alien'.

Gray asks if he wants Stevenson or Shumenov. Hopkins says the fans will ask for the best to face the best and it will be whatever pleases the fans. He is thinking about moving down in weight to get the biggest match-ups.

Hopkins begins to defend Richard Schaeffer and says many people have long said he doesn't make big events happen but then illustrates how Mayweather vs. Alvarez disproves this, along with other recent examples.

 

Jim Gray interviews Karo Murat.

Murat says Hopkins is a great boxer. He lost concentration due to his cuts, both of which he thinks came from headbutts. He knows in top shape he could defeat Hopkins but the cuts disturbed him tonight.

Gray brings up the kisses on the back of his neck. Murat looks pissed. He forces an uncomfortable smile. He says this is Bernard we are talking about and you expect such antics from him. He says that he accepts the loss but again thinks it was down to the cuts.

 

Murat's cuts weren't half as bad as Rosado's and you didn't hear Rosado making excuses...rather, he was begging to let it continue so he could make things happen for himself instead of feeling sorry for himself.
