Moore was still KO'ing the likes of Taylor in his 40s. At age 45, he knocked out the #4 heavyweight contender.

I am lookîng at Hopkins record at 160 and Taylor was actually his best opponent besides Trinidad. But Taylor actually had a jab which Bernard could not deal with. Mike's jab was better

Actually, he didn't fight the likes of Taylor as he was already in a coffin.

That #4 heavyweight contender you speak of was so trash that you declined to state his name.

Seriously, stop bullshitting. Moore may have been at or even above Hopkins' level as an old man, but he didn't log the same type of resume because he tended to be either overmatched (Ali, Patterson) or fighting forgettable opponents. He did succeed at the level of Durelle, but he did not consistently fight guys near that level whereas Hopkins did and therefore produced the better resume. Actually, Hopkins succeeded above that level several times.

Remind me how many rated heavyweights Hopkins fought at any point in his career, let alone in his 40s? Where Moore was sending Lavorante to the hospital, Hopkins was eking out a win over Winky Wright, in his one and only fight above 160.

Hopkins had a handful of decent wins in his 40s. He also had some stinkers as well as a frankly pitiful performance against Calzaghe. Moore's win over Eddie Cotton alone is superior to Hopkins' wins over Cloud and Pavlik, who were more hype than anything else.

Remind me how many middleweight title defenses Moore made. FOH.
