Hopkins. McCallum was brilliant but Hopkins is too big. He'd dictate the tempo and work him on the inside and score with leads from long range.
mccallum would win mike mccallum would likely have beaten everyone (other then roy jones jr) bernard faced throughout his entire career. i doubt the same can be said for bernard, hopkins fought in one of the weakest era's of the middleweight division, i doubt he'd look all that great against guys like kalambay, watson, collins, toney, curry, jackson, McCrory, Kalule.
The only MW that would have a decent chance of beating a prime Hopkins from the past 20 odd years (outside of Jones) is possibly Michael Nunn but this being ESB Hopkins loses to Kalambay, Johnson, McCallum, Collins, Toney, Watson, Benn, Eubank, Malinga, Rochiogini and just about any other MW of note that he did not get the chance to fight.
in the 90s, McCallum would have won.. But one thing is for sure. The snaggle tooth con man would have stunk the fukkin joint out as always.
