Lets say we take the Kessler from the Froch fight and match him up with the Hopkins from the Joppy fight, who do you think would win this fight?

IMO Hopkins by Wide UD...Kessler seems lost when his initial gameplan doesnt work...Hopkins would take his best weapon away and make Kessler look very sloppy at times.

Hopkins wins this one on smarts and skills!

Any version of Hopkins from the last 15 years could beat a prime Kessler.

I think that the 27/28 year old Kessler may trouble the Hopkins who fought Pascal..

No version of Hopkins has an easy night with Kessler, it would take time for him to work him out and break him down.

Kessler is not that great. The guy has lost all his biggest fights with the exception of Froch. A better thread would've been Hopkins vs. Ward

Hopkins would prevail something like 8 - 4 on the scorecards, Kesslers real problem are fast boxers so i think he would have a few good moments due to his accuracy, straight punching and heart not to mention he could let his punches go at a fairly rapid clip during his prime, something we all know Hopkins doesnt like. Problem for Kessler is that much like the Calzaghe fight once Hopkins adjusts he wouldnt be able to follow suite and would end up losing most of the latter rounds. Would be a fun fight though, can you imagine the bravado both guys would display at times.

hopkins by prison ****. hopkins would change his name to sparkles and pimp him for a pack of cigarettes. kessler is a very good but basic fighter at best.

Definitely Hopkins. . . Kessler is a very good boxer/puncher, but he's just too basic, and predicable for Hopkins. . . It would be closer than the Pavlik fight, but Hopkins still puts a pretty solid tooling on Kess.
