What a interesting fight. Duran was much better than Tito and Oscar were at 160 but Bhop is a master. Who takes it?

Duran is one of my favourite ever boxers. Although he did well at middleweight I wouldn't like to predict that he could win over a great at 160 which is 25lbs above his best weight. I wouldn't rule out a Duran win but I'd go with Hopkins SD. Having said that I would bet on Hagler over Hopkins and Duran took him close.

Hopkins and easily. Hopkins was an MW due to immense discipline in keeping his weight down. Duran was a great LHW with an impressive win over Barkley at MW, but little else. Hopkins was able to rough up Tarver and go 12 with RJJ. Duran would be quick KO victim to Tarver and RJJ.

Duran was great, but this is way out of his league.

Both are among my favourite fighters. Duran gave Hagler problems by using movement, counterpunching and boxing him and Hagler´s unwillingness to engage until it nearly was too late. Hopkins did something similar against DLH, he wanted to prove he doesn´t need his size to beat DLH, when he thought he proved his point he stepped up and ended it. DLH is no Duran but I think a Hopkins-Duran fight would look similar. Duran showing respect, trying to box, use movement, counterpunching, feints, setting traps. Hopkins would play his game until either he thinks he proved his point or he sees he can´t, anywaym he steps up after that, get´s more physical and uses his size. I don´t think he will stop Duran but he will win a clear UD. Clearer than Hagler´s.

Prime Bhop at middle would stop Duran at middle imo.

Duran really would call "No Mas" in that fight. Hopkins. Duran's the type of fighter that makes B-Hop look good in the ring.

At 154, I'd even take Tito to KO Duran.

At MW, Hopkins' hits Duran with lead rights that do not really land clean but scores nevertheless. Then Hopkins ties him and roughs him up. Hopkins wins a boring UD. Hopkins is really a big dude, guy started fighting at 175.

Hopkins via KO if he's still got some pop. Too big for Duran and Roberto would go out on his shield trying.

Wow, I'm not sure if yal are overrating Hopkins, Tito, and Tarver a bit. If you didn't have big time skill behind big time power, example Hearns, why would yal think Duran wouldn't be competitive???

Because Duran has one good win at MW over a brawler and Hopkins is as skilled as Duran but much bigger and stronger and can't be hurt by a former lightweight.
