Now I know people gonna say the Rock was a heavyweight but he really ain't that much bigger than B-Hop, he was only 185, so I could definetly see this as a catchweight fight and it would be interesting cause of the Rocks physical strength but I couldn't see any straight ahead fighter or slugger/club fighter beating B-Hop even with the Rocks physical adavantages, what do you guys think?

I see this going one of two ways:

    a) Marciano wins by involuntary manslaughter, or

    b) Marciano wins by face-removal.

Great quote from Sugar Ray on a proposed Robinson-Marciano fight:

"What, do you want to get me killed?"

(And Robby was better than B-Hop with all due respect)

Is that a joke? Hopkins would get killed in there.

    Rocky couldn't carry Bernard's jock-strap.

Marciano early KO. Not a good matchup.

People are a little mislead by Marciano's 185 pounds prime fighting weight.
I'd say he's a natural 190-195 pounder who trained down fanatically to 185 or so. As an amatuer he often weighed a bit over 200, although he was admittedly a little soft at that weight.

But in any case, he was very powerful for a guy weighing 185. He may not weigh all that much more than Hopkins, but he is in a completely different league in terms of strength and power.

Hop survives into the middle rounds purely because Rocky was a reasonably slow starter in his championship years. He'd get beat up pretty badly though.

Marciano will break him down eventually, after being outboxed silly in every round. Late rounds KO.

Bernard never fought at heavyweight, so we never know how effective he would be there. Pound for pound its no question, Hopkins would win a wide decision and would probably stop him.

    How does that work exactly?

What do you mean pound for pound? What weight would they fight at?

Pound for pound means both fighters at the same weight class as good as they are at their best weight. Say Hopkins and Marciano fought at 180, and both were still at their best and didn't lose any of their most important attributes. Hopkins would eat him alive. Hope that made sense.
