So I have heard about the 50/50 supposedly being agreed to and if the fight ends within 12 rounds, the winner gets 60 and the loser gets 40.. Does anyone know anything else about this potential mega-fight? ps- I know people with sneer at the term megafight for this event, but it still would be. Think about all the hype that would go into the promotion!? The 1st fight back in 1993, what has happened to the fighters since, the promotional tour alone is worth it! Who has any facts or information though? Who knows if this is closer to happening than it has been a million times before?
It would be "What would a fight look like between a slightly slower Hopkins and a journeyman Roy Jones?"
This fight has significance. I think Hopkins' fans are the most defensive of all boxing fans they tend not to allow or 'want' their man to take risks - point in fact the Dawson fight. Anyway 50/50 fight, depends on what RJJ turns up. We know Hopkins will be match fit and good to go. I think Roy's smart enough to know how to beat Hopkins (outside work and speed).............but can he do that? And what is Hopkins engages like he did Pavlik? Hoipkins is talent. Yes - this fight has significance!!!
i just read an interview with roy by g. leon and he said that the 50/50 60/40 ko is agreed upon and that they would likely fight in february after he fights danny green on dec 2
We know that this fight is completely meaningless, in the same basic stratosphere as Leonard/Duran III.
