Trash logic. Roy is one of the best head to head in history, and does not fight in the style of Robinson.

What's your pick/analysis on this one?

Edit: Nevermind, I'm reading the other thread now.

Hopkins has fallen short every time he's come up against anyone anywhere approaching the talent and versatility of Robinson - ie: Roy, Taylor, Calzaghe. I think the key is that Robby would force him to lead more than he's comfortable with, and could step back and counter him when he tries to move in and impose his holding/infighting tactics on him.

Robby finishes strong to take the fight by UD.

Hopkins is the smarter fighter, and the bigger fighter with enough skill to counter SRR's superior talent. If it was just one fight, I'd go with Hopkins. I'd pick Robinson in a series, though.

It was Roy's toughest fight up until that point but he basically beat him by heavily using one hand.

Roy basically coasted once he felt he had done enough.
I think he done it pretty comfortably all things considered.

Much more decisive than the Calzaghe and Taylor fights.

I like Robinson by decision at 160 with both at their absolute peak. Tough fight and I don't see either fighter going down over 12 or 15 rounds. Robinson's speed and footwork would give Hopkins fits though.

Hagler is a better matchup for Hopkins.

Once he suggested this, I just threw the post out the window.
