Bernard Hopkins vs Tavoris Cloud 2013-03-09

Yup yup! I cant believe Hopkins will take this one......he's been to the well one too many times! Although I will be rooting for him!

 

Is a easier fight for Hopkins to win than Dawson, I give him a good chance.

 

The big test for Hopkins will be can he keep up with a pace like Cloud's at 48, even with all his methods of slowing a fight down.

 

Can't stand listening to the guy, and I'm not a fan of his clinching and dirty tactics, but damn this old man is still fighting the top guys!

Cloud is a real fighter ( a lil crazy) and I would root for him against any other opponent but he's fighting my favourite fighter of all times. I don't believe Cloud has the power to intimidate Hop.

I think Hopkins will win. I mean how much more shot can you get from 46 to 48? He lost most of his speed and reflexes years ago. So he's relying mostly on skill and intelligence. And i think that should be enough against a guy with Cloud's inferior skill level. It will be boring as hell though.

 

Lets go Cloud time to bring in the new wave of young guns to 175

it seems everytime youth takes over at 175 Hopkins comes to spoil progress

I think Clouds workrate and power are going to greatly off set Hopkins

but Hopkins is clever and Cloud's been out boxed but does Hopkins have what it takes anymore

 

after campillo fight we kno clouds boxing skills arent nearly as good as b hops so if b hop makes his fight he wins.

 

The Campillo fight doesn't tell me anything about Cloud but it tells that Campillo cannot take a punch and he is able to steal fights on the move and pity-pat punchin, you know, touch him here and there and restart. Bernard is not into stealing fights but solid connects and punch according to the book. Cloud is a young gun alright but some other young guns ducked and side-stepped him.
