I heartily agree I find him cynically boring and always have.Hearns I loved to watch but unfortunately B Hop wins this.

Hopkins can not out box Hearns.I do not think he has the style to KO him. Hearns by decision.

Hopkins is going to cut the ring off, not just jump in face 1st like Hagler did vs Hears

i think hearns' speed causes him a lot of problems.

fair points have been made for hopkins to win, but i'll take hearns by decision. maybe hopkins can time the right eventually but he'll eat a few first and that could discourage him.

If it's a small ring and a leniant ref, or hearns fights the wrong fight and goes for him, then the above is nonsense and hopkins just uglies him for a decision or stoppage.

How would Bhop win? Hearns is better on the outside and mid range. Hopkins would have to fight close range to out point him.

It is a very interesting fight .. Hearns had reach, speed and power on Hopkins .. Bernard was cautious and not a big puncher .. I also think Hearns could hurt Bernard .. to me this is a match up of styles and a pickem bout ..

It is very nice that people are using their hearts rather than their heads and picking Tommy. But look at his 160 record, and it is pathetic in comparison to the horrendously unentertaining Hopkins. Obliterated by Hagler, destroys Shuler, can only out point De Witt, makes easy work of Roldan then gets mullered by Barkley.

Hardly the stuff of legend at Middleweight is it?

"easy work of Roldan"? Hearns was fortunate to survive that fight and had to hold on for dear life multiple times.

When you one shot KO a guy like Roldan as early as the 4th round my schoolboy chum that is making easy work of it.

Barkley and roldan are better middleweights than anyone Hopkins has fought.

They have a different style than Hopkins. They are brawlers and punchers.Hopkins is a boxer and it is almost impossible to outbox Hearns.

Guess Ill be the 5th idiot and pick Hearns by dec, Hopkins has never in his history been busy enough to beat a fighter like Hearns. And to beat Hearns you got to pressure him. (look at any of his looses). I seeing Hopkins playing it safe, respecting Hearns power, Hearns piling up the points with that lazer left jab and heavyweight reach, an occasional right hand, winning the fight.

Gun to my head, or more preferably, money on the line, I'd pick Hopkins. He's far more proven at 160 than Hearns is.
