What if GGG fought a prime Hopkins the one that destroyed Trinidad in 2001. The one who in prime went on to make a record 20 defences and defeated all styles of fighters. Would Hopkins be able to overcome GGG in a title fight ?

Hopkins by brutal destruction. Bernard made his living off of the no defense come forward types like Bumlovkin...

2001 Hopkins was a beast. He gets my vote.
    Interesting fight for sure!

Hopkins would have harder time with Golovkin than Tito as Golovkin is far better at cutting off the ring and is a natural middleweight but Golovkin hasn't faced anyone half as good as BHop.

Hopkins wins a clear decision, Golovkin is far too easy to hit and Hopkins movement and spoiling tactics would frustrate GGG. And Golovkin's vaunted power will mean little against a fighter as good defensively and durable as Hopkins.

My opinion is fighting prime 160 BHOP would be much harder to win then fighting prime 160 RJJ for GGG. BHOP's style is GGG's kryptonite.

While I agree Hops would probably dominate most of the fight, GGG is NOT a bum by any means. He's a very good pro with a stellar amateur background that proves the man knows how to box very well and not just KO people. But he hasn't done anything YET to prove he could hang with an ATG like Hopkins. That remains to be seen.
