why is this thread still going on. You must be pretty deluded to think Hopkins really wants the fight. Even if he was to say it--its all talk
Hopkins would get crushed in he stepped in the ring with Haye. Of coarse it won`t happen cause he`s all mouth.
How long is this going to be used as evidence of Haye's vulnerabilities? Sure he's certainly got (at best) average punch resistance, but the Mock incident is used to really overemphasise this point. As TFFP said, Haye is a lot sturdier since that rather embarrassing (and rather worrying) kd, and has filled out considerably. If you persist on using this whole 'yes, but feather-fisted middleweight Lolenga Mock hurt Haye' arguement, then by this logic you'd have to believe Macklin, Stieglitz, Smith, Bute etc etc could all feasibly hurt him aswell.
Just like he was destroyed every other time he was faced with adversity, no? Add to that he's an excellent, old school fighter who rarely gets hit with one shot at a time. He'd play rough with David and fight a boring contest, there's no way David just smashes him out of there.
I'm not sure Haye would like this fight either tbh. He has repeatedly said that Hopkins is one of his heroes. I dont know about you, but I certainly wouldnt want to go in with one of my heroes with the intetnion of pounding his face in. I think if it does happen we will see Hopkins grow old by round 8!
