I forget everything good about him yesterday because of how awful he is today.

speed was definitely his weakness. especially since out of the 3 fighters you listed only one of them actually won. the other 2 were benefactors of poor judgment. HBO thought hopkins would retire and who better to replace him than a younger undefeated champion? easy money, and easier to see if you're not stupid.

Weird. According to some Calzaghe fans he hit his prime in his 40's and thus Calzaghe beat a prime Hopkins.

Lets look at this objectively:

Hopkins best wins where he isn't bullying little guys...

Tarver 2006 (age 41)
Pascal 2011 (age 46)

When was Hopkins prime? When he was losing to C Mitchell, losing to Jones, unable to beat Mercado at first ask, unable to beat R Allen at first ask, getting time out against A Echoles or losing to J Taylor twice. Or was it when he was beating alot of naturally smaller fighters?
Remember Hopkins turned pro weighing in at CW.
I think Hopkins best MW wins were possibly K Holmes & H Eastman.
Remember at the time G Johnson was a nobody who hadnt done much and lost a load of fights straight after. F Trinidad was a former WW that had been put down 7 times that I know of and looked lucky against De La Hoya.
To me Hopkins best wins have come later in his career

 What a twat.
Thats why Hopkins got the decision over Pascal in a very close fight :patsch.
Hopkins lost those fights because he was beaten fair and square.
Tell me stupid, what are all the excuses for the 8 times Hopkins hasnt been able to beat the fighter in front of him? Well at least this weeks excuse

Really impressive that he was able to handle an aged, decrepit ex-Welterweight like that.

Honestly.......

Me liking Hopkins is a lot like expecting a Hebrew to like Hitler. You cannot ignore what they achieved but you cannot respect them because that person just plain hates your race.

That's the plain truth. I hope an ESB admin actually READS that statement and understands it ON AN OPEN FORUM before banning me....

Read it again & consider what I am saying...................

In your opinion was Hopkins in his prime when he fought Calzaghe?

Is prime physical or mental?

scenario (a) Hopkins is young, athletic but without his years of experience.

scenario (b) Hopkins is older less athletic but his years of experience counteract that.

You can't seriously believe he's "racist" and hates white people, that's just a cop out to hate on him. He hired Roach as his trainer and Shilstone as his nutritionist/conditioner, his publicist is Kelly Swanson, he spent time with a white kid who had cancer:

I know the proof here is that he said "he'd lever lose to a white boy" but that was nothing more then a way of trying to sell the fight to and ignite racist white people who don't take kindly to a black man saying something like that about his masters, then they have the nerve to call him "racist".

I realize that Hebrews and Jews aren't the same thing, still, there were plenty of Jews serving in Hitler's Nazi Army. The latest estimates show about 1500 Jews in Hitler's Army as shown in Bryan Riggs's book; Hitler's Jewish Soldiers. Hitler and the Germans including blacks,Jews and over half a million non-German volunters fought against the int'l banksters,of whom the majority were Zionist.

So, your corny analogy does not fit, so you must acquit. :yep
