Hopkins should stop talking ****, he' not exactly a spring chicken himself.

Understandably in the eyes of the average boxing fan who falls under the impression and motto of "This fighter go ko'ed by this fighter, so no way is he going to win against someone at the top" or "he got beaten badly, unlike never before. So he must be shot"

Roy jones would either win a UD against hopkins now or loose one. Hopkins is not a power train slugger and would not have the green\Tarver effect.

You used the "deal" icon. I agree with you now

  4. What are you talking about past his prime??? he's more in his prime that B-HOP is. His loses to Tarver and Johnson were due to that weight drop from heavy, and his loss to Calzaghe was about as close as B-HOP's was, both scoring knockdowns and then fading a bit. He just got caught with a lucking shot , it could happen to anybody and the shot was not a legal one anyways. Lewis lost to Rahman and came back to KO the guy in the next fight. So it was just bad luck for him and at this point seeing as B-HOP would be owned by Dawson and others he should just fight Jones Jr and get shown who that greater fighter is, cause we all know its not him.

RJJ stands no chance vs Hopkins or any world class fighter. Hopkins is not Lacy, Sheika, Handshaw, Ajamu or any other bum Roy has beaten since the first Tarver fight.

Roy cant take a punch and Hopkins still hits hard enough to put him out and even if he dont he'll still school roy for 12 rounds.

    Wow this is ****in unreal.:-(

  7. Well this is me just being honest and not caring what a few ******s of the forum think. I believe that Klitschko would of been the a top 5 heavyweight ever if not have those 4 years off. Cause he has yet to ever b beat by a fighter, he has only lost due to his body failng at points. He was way ahead of Bryd on the cards when his corner made him stop due to injury. And he was owning Lewis when a stupid rule cost him a fight he was winning. So I have him top 10 all-time now, and maybe with 4-5 more big wins he could get into the top 5.

No, no he's not. They're two different kinds of fighters. Roy's prime was based off his athleticism, as I've said a million times already. Roy can't adapt, he doesn't know any style other than what he was taught, which was not normal.

It's easy to speak poorly or Roy now that he's getting KO'ed left and right :rofl. Lets not forget that he did win a UD against Hopkins in the past.

It is obvious that Roy is a fighter that had a style tailored to a physical advantage of being faster with the hands, faster on the feet and amazingly versatile and thus allowing him to keep an open\relaxed stance. Nobody can keep those assets after 32/33 years of age and not get caught with such style.

Unfortunately for him and his legacy some of the most esteemed opponents he decided to face, came after the age of 32.

A 20 - 30 y.o RJJ would have taken Calzaghe out I believe, but Tarver would have a good chance to KO him at any point in his career. Green he would toy with.

Hopkins is past 40, regardless of his current results he's in the same boat as Roy. They would match up well and Roy "could" likely repeat his win.

Hopkins is just a better fighter the Roy. Roy had the gifts but now he doesnt have them anymore and now he's done. Hopkins is still a great defencive fighter and still has great skills. Roy is just a side show.

    5th is ridiculous man.

  14. Hopkins going to war with a 29-5 bum , Jones would of iced this tomato can inside 6 rounds. I hope Hopkins dont uses Green's miracle shot to get out of the Jones fight he avoided for years.
