after seeing that green has serious ko power and following hopkins' big mouth pre-fight i don't believe hopkins would risk fighting green.

at this stage of his carrer a ko loss would devestate him.

not saying that hopkins can't win, of course he can and would start heavy favourite but i don't believe he would want to fight someone that is as big a puncher as green.

fingers crossed they do fight though.

Hopkins wouldn't lose any sleep over fighting Green - he'd school him. It'd be worse then the Pavlik beatdown.
When has Green ever beaten a live opponent other than a lethagic Drews?
Why doesn't he fight at 175 when he can clearly make the weight?
Is it because he knows he wouldn't be able to pass himself as a world champ, seeing as even the bull**** IBO strap is held by Dawson?
The fact is if he fights a top ten cruiser he's getting knocked out.

I think even being this long in the tooth Bernard would school Danny.

The way the WBC head and the WBA mutli-champ divisions are, I think more highly of the IBO in a lot of ways...

Really? Sanctioning a fight between a light heavy and (by their own warped ranking system) the 66st placed fighter (who also weighed in waaaaay below the cruiser limit) for their vacant cruiserweight title makes the IBO more credible than the WBA & WBC?
Green's opponent for the vacant title was Julio Cesar Dominguez, as i'm sure you know. This guy was stopped by Aleksy Kuziemski who has four KO victories from seventeen contests. Kuziemski is the definition of feather fisted. And yet Dominguez finds himself in a 'world title fight' at a higher weight level? How so?
And let's not forget the recent bout between Matthew Hatton and Lovemore Ndou for the IBO welterweight title. How can a man who is not even in the top 5 welterweights in Britain fight for a world title?

Green's style is right up Hopkins' alley. Hopkins has proven time and time again that he has the tools to nullify that kind of style. An opponent with KO power, is nothing new to him. If he is avoiding the fight, its not out of fear.

Although I do think Nard beats him Danny is one tough ****a. Green is a fighter and this fight could go down as one of the dirtiest fights in recent history.

Dannys best chance is to fight fire with fire and try and wear the old ******* down.

    hopkins would school green hey.

u mean like jones was supposed to do. yes that's right every expert in the world said green had virtually no chance and that jones would make him look like a goose. how'd that go?

so dismiss greens chances if u wish but at least do it objectively.

completely disregarding the guys chances of winning is ignorant.

for the record i too would expect hopkins to win but not in a cakewalk.

  12. Danny would not disk fight Hopkins either, I dont think. He plans of fighting Holyfield of Tyson (i.e. cashing in against big name that are shot)

I have ZERO interest in seeing hopkins slap around DANNY GREEN. What has he done to deserve a fight with BHOP? Theres no green in fighting danny green.

How many insane WBC and WBA things can we all think of to match though? I mean, really. Mosley has to apologize to Jose for going after a the WBA title when he had the WBC interim title to get a unification sanctioned. Jose wants to suspend Arreola for cursing in a post-fight HBO interview. The diamond belt. Then the WBA and it's regular champion, super champion and sometimes more per division. There's no sanctioning body that doesn't do enormously corrupt and crazy things but in some ways, as I said, I regard the IBO even higher. Again, in certain ways.

Hopkins doesn't need anyone. More like Bernard Hopkins does not want to risk fighting Chad Dawson. Dawson is a much better fighter and is considered the top guy at 175. I'm sure if the money was good, Hopkins would school Green if they fought though because in terms of legacy, Danny Green ain't no body.
