Hopkins has fundamental defensive skills that Roy still lacks, and much better punch resistance as well. Roy is all about athleticism, and since he lost his legs following the Ruiz fight, he simply can't get away from the punches thrown by decent competition. Green would hang tough over the distance, but simply wouldn't be able to hit Hopkins cleanly much. It most likely won't matter though, as Hopkins probably won't fight Green.

Of course not, Bernard only likes to fight smaller guys from weight classes beneath him.

    Please let this fight happen....
Everyone here can offer up there justifications for Green getting schooled....
Green can again be at long odds due to your parochial ignorance.
I can put money on Green like I did v RJJ and collect.

danny green gets beaten by any top ten fighter he is very easy to hit look at his last few fights with bums who were able to rock him.

Total fail. Hopkins would educate Green any day of the week and twice on Sunday. He would absorb and cancel out the best that Green has to offer and win a wide u/d.

I don't think green deserves a shot at Hopkins

Surely a KO win over a 40 year old RJJ doesn't suddenly make green a superstar?

The only fight out there is Dawson

B-Hop won't bother because Green is a nobody who'd lose every single round embarassingly if he stepped in the ring with Hopkins.

exactly!:good he is being way to hyped up for beating an old roy jones.

  13. I do see this as a risky fight for Hopkins. Obviously I think that Bernard would win but Green is a big hitting light Heavy / Cruiser, and Bernard is 45. Green is also unknown outside of America so Bernard would get no cred for beating him. It's just a really unappealing fight.

Isn't that what the same said before he fought Tarver and Pavlik?, looks like people will never learn.

Hopkins wipes the floor with green and wins by UD. Calzaghe, a fighter with ATG ability, who is well known for his activity wasn't able to throw and land enough against Hopkins you think Green will?

Hopkins smashes him and wins by UD in a one-sided fight. This will also be more one-sided than his fights with Tarver and Pavlik. If this is on I would be more than happy to have a one month off bet if Green lands more than four clean punches the entire night.

Bernard Hopkins would put Danny Green in a tomb.
