    exactly.

at b-hops age there r better, safer options that will bring him more than enough cash.

it would be a shame for such a fighter to suffer a brutall ko now.

Is it just me or Australians are blowing that Green KO win over Jones WAY out of proportion?

I have nothing against Green and I wish him all the best.

But if anyone thinks Hopkins has to fight Green just because he beat Jones then they're out of their mind. Other then money, Hopkins has absolutely NOTHING to win in that fight. Green has no title, no name & no legacy.

He's just a guy who knocked out a shell of Roy Jones.

    absolute rubbish.

if its ok for b-hop to fight ornelas then it is more than ok for green to be a worthy opponent.

and no he doesn't have to fight green, but there r plenty of factors to warrant these two facing each other.

only money as a reason? wake up!

Green has always been a worthy opponent, but has been ducked by more fighters than most. He has always been a tough, rugged puncher who has kO power in both hands. So unless he has a major title, i don't think he will ever get another big fight.

It's a shame...Green is a very entertaining fighter who could be very good for boxing.

I thought Jones would beat Green 117-111, or something like that, perhaps even a TKO. I was wrong.

Hopkins is a much better fighter than Jones though. Still, would be interesting fight. Looks like Hopkins/Jones will still happen.

If BHop is still dead set on fighting Roy and Roy obviously not being able to call any kind of shots at this point ..... why not throw Hopkins-Jones on the undercard of Mayweather-Pacquiao? Wasn't the first fight an undercard match? Why not come full circle and do it again that way? Plus HBO isn't going to throw as much money around as they did before, so it seems this would make sense. Comments?

I'm a big fan of Greens, and wish him all the best.

But he really was tailor made to beat a faded RJJ. Bhop is stylistically so different that it is world's apart. Green simply can't mix it with the #4 P4P fighter in the world.

Anyone who says Green was a nobody is frankly and embarassingly ignorant. But right now, at this stage of his career, he would be doing very well to be considered one of the top contenders at cruiserweight. He only has a small chance of doing this, and that chance exists because cruiserweight is such a talentless division.

Even if Green meets every possible hope I have for him, and makes it into the top 3 or so cruiserweights, there is still nothing there for Bhop. They are worlds apart in legacy, name, ability and just about everything else you could think of.

    rushman,

    wtf r u talking about.

green is one of the top light/cruiserweights now. he would beat half the top guys at cruiserweight even if he wasn't close to the weight limit.

u say that green is talented but would only be successful against the best because they r a talentless bunch. lol. talk about disrespectful.

for u to say that green has nothing at all to offer b-hop is utter rubbish. if it is ok for b-hop to fight ornelas, then it is more than ok for him to fight green. green brings much more to the table than that guy. even though stipe drews refused to engage once he felt greens power, green was still world champ at his last fight at light heavyweight. if that doesn't count on a resume then no one would be capable of fighting the top p4p guys.
in saying that though, there r plenty of other fighters green could fight. it just so happens that green smashed the bloke that bernard was supposed to fight next and after the **** that came out of b-hops mouth before the green-jones fight, there is more than enough fuel there to make this fight very successful.
