Just been watching a few past fights of Hopkins and cant help but admire the way he uses his own skills and ring intelligance to uttilise that of others, the man is a master craftsman, there are, and have been few like him.

He might not be the most crowd pleasing or easy on the eye fighter but you cannot help but admire him, hes been in there with some stella names and the only time i can say he was well and truley beaten was the Jones fight, all others were close fights.

He is a credit to the sport.

I think BHOP was hoping that Glen Johnson was going to win so he could rematch him for a title.

I was just going to ask you to post it off your phone or something, I was not attacking you. I'd love to see it, can you upload it?

I never have never seen Hopkins' first pro fight to be honest... And I am a fan of Hopkins.

What exactly happened in that fight?

    Yeah, I believe it was...

I was just curious because I have never seen it and I was under the impression that Hopkins had a strong opinion that he won the fight.

Definitely a great fighter. And not everyone agrees but I loved watching even the older version going about his business. It's not always pretty but he gets the win and outlasted pretty much all of his rivals.

Thanks mate, I took a video the other day off my phone from my TV and it was very watchable. I'd really appreciate it, I have looked for this fight for a while.

it's not always what you do, but how you do it. Hopkins did it his way and that's why i respect him. also, every win he has was legit, not a split decision on his record. the closest win on his record was against winky wright. no one's the same after they face Ex.

everyone he's fought has been smaller than him.

also b1tched out of the James Toney fight. People want to rip on Floyd but Floyd agreed to 50/50 against Pacquiao. Hopkins declined a 60/40 to get a rematch with RJJ.

GUys is a complete fraud. Living legend my ass.

yeah he was and a consistent fighter who knew what style would work well for him. He rarely had a fight where he fought the wrong fight.

everyone he fought weren't smaller, the big names were, but he fought plenty of legit middleweights. why fight if you don't like the money? isn't old for boxing like 35? this dude is 45? he can't be picky? if he wins another belt, he will leave with a better legacy than the people who beat him. call him what you want, but robinson and hearns weren't exactly fighting guys their same size either. they were big for their best weight class.
