    Eight and nine years respectively since they laced up gloves and 18 years since they fought each other. A combined 114 years oldl.

    Wild to reflect that it was billed as Hopkins' retirement bout and yet he banged on for another decade - and with a moderate amount of sucess, no less! (going 8-4-1-1 after Tarver)

    Hopkins is seven years older now than was Dewey Bozella when Hopkins sponsored Bozello to make his pro debut after being wrongfully convicted and serving 26 years in prison (and winning the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the Espys just a few months prior) - setting a record for oldest debutant ever, broken recently by Paul Iannuzzi.
