Hopkins didn't much ass kicking. He was too preoccupied trying not to get beat to death to box. At least the referee didn't wave it off in the final seconds when BH was turned into the world's most expensive punching bag. Probably some other referees would have stopped it, not that it made much of a difference except protecting Hopkins from unnecessary injury.
