    :-(

No he wasn't! He was robbed in the Taylor rematch, and even though I had it 6-6 (Hops by a point) I knew Calzaghe did enough to secure a win.

COME ON! Nobody thought or wanted Hops to win more than I did!!

Calzaghe successfully out-Hopkinsed Hopkins (as others have said). HE OUTADJUSTED HIM!!!!

    I never thought it possible.

Bernard should retire if he cannot secure a rematch, and Calzaghe-Jones makes more sense, I am afraid.

I'm shocked, baffled, and a tad disappointed....but I won't let it impact my judgment.

Hops lost fair and square....not MANY guys could beat him ever now. Calzaghe DID...that says a ****ing lot!

It PAINS me to admit this given my constant referrals to Calzaghe as a "sack of ****".

Joe fought his his fight in the USA against a very cagey veteran and with all 3 American judges...................one of which should never be allowed to score a fight again.

Honesty is the best policy, especially after that article you wrote predicting a Hopkins win. Props.

And I have MANY MANY more, want me to post the link to the fight for you as well so you can watch those moments you might have missed(if only your eyes weren't staring at Calzaghe's balls all night). Please man, don't make a fool out of yourself, it was a close tough fight which Calzaghe won and full credit goes to him for it, acting all desperate and "DON'T TOUCH MY DINNER!!!!" won't change anything. Calzaghe was hurt on a few occasions there, when Hopkins lands a power punch Calzaghe is rocked, he was down once and rocked at the end of the 5th or 6th after a Hopkins counter which back him off. I never saw Hopkins hurt AT ALL in that fight but still lost it due to activity and Joe having the ability(which makes him special) to make Hopkins confused, which he did and succeeded. Saying that Hopkins did nothing is idiotic.

hop should give it up. i have some of his fight dvd's, but the guy can't draw flies to ****. he is a good talker, but as a fighter he's so boring. it's pretty bad when more then half of the people in attendance traveled from the other side of the world.

Quite honestly that's the worst holding I've seen since Lewis vs. Akinwande or any Ruiz fight. Hopkins was cheating left & right, holding & hitting, hitting the back of the head, etc. Faked low blows.............really kinda pathetic, did you hear the crowd's reaction when they showed the replay? :rofl

Hey...I WAS convinced Hopkins would outclass him.

    I have no shame.

I can write an honest assessment of Calz that will make my former critics most likely give me props. I do call it like I see it. When I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Shan't be the last time.

Nice to see your man enough to admit Joe won.

It was close and Nard landed the better shots but Joe won enough rounds for a 2 point win imo. Being very generous to Joe I could see it by 5 points, being equally generous to nard I could see him by a point. Props to Nard for being so good at his age, and the gamesmanship with the low blows was priceless... what a pro!

Fair decision in a scrappy fight I think.

I thought the fight was pretty good. Spots of inactivity and some ugly clinching/foul exchanges, but I thought it was some high-class action.

The knockdown and some heated exchanges created some drama.

Such a tough fight to score but like many i had Joe by two or three. He looked bad tonight but that has to be due to Hopkins ability so credit to him for that. Hopkins faking made me laugh the two times he got away with it. As well, Hopkins landed the cleaner shots all the way through but he was out hustled and Joe's tactics paid off. I enjoyed the win for Joe but it didn't show how skillful he is. Again credit to hopkins for spoiling it, he tied him up quickly on the inside and didn't let Joe fire off his shots and came back with some big hits of his own. I was unsure of how the judges would score it but it sounded like they got it right. WEll done Joe. I also think the best fight out there now would be a rematch at the millennium stadium. Bring it on.

I truly beleive Jones and Calzaghe will fight now ..That performance by Joe still gives Jones a hell of a shot ..But I wonder if there was a rematc clause ?Anyone know ??

Hey props to Joe on his American debuet as well !
