Big Reg do you think with the right amount of promoting , this fight would have been a sellout in Philly similar to Spinks-Judah 2 in St. Louis?

I don't know if you have ever been in a confrontation, i'll presume not. But the people you want to watch out for are the ones who are being quiet. Calzaghe smiling means ****. I have seen people that smile, people that shout, people that don't say ****, none of it matters in the end; all that matters is who is best on the night. To even suggest that he is scared, shows your complete lack of perception. As i have said before Calzaghe looked a hell of a lot more nervous.

Does anyone honestly believe either fighter is nervous? Anxious maybe...to get the fight started.

I doubt Hopkins has ever been nervous in his life.

Except maybe his first night in prison......

tired of ppl assuming bull**** like this. Oh bernard is scared he was nervous blah blah blah. All you dummies said floyd was scared when hatton got in his face and said hatton would kill him and you see that he got his lil ass KOed. Mark my word, Hopkins will win the fight and im gonna love seein all the haters/delusional calzaghe fans cry and make excuses about why their guy lost. Hopkins UD! Im gonna bring this thread title bak up after the fight jus to show how idiotic this thread is. Hopkins looks nervous...ha. Give me a break.

This **** works both ways mate. No different to the idiots saying that Calzaghe was laughing at the weigh-in because he was so nervous!

As if two of the longest reigning champions in history are shitting it over a fight.

as a pro boxer i can honestly tell you boxers dont get "scared" but almost all of us get "butterflies"
    its human nature.

At this point in their respective careers, I'd venture a guess that the only thing they are nervous about is the check bouncing!

I am not also pretending to play some sort of Dr. Phil around here but if this is the issue of the thread... I believe that there must be external signs of anxiety and nervous activity so that we can come to that conclusion. Hopkins was absolutely cold, serious and focused on Calzaghe, not to mention that he clearly said he shoved Winky to hype up the fight and for PPV purposes ( post fight interview), was fined for it - this is not PPV and the first thing he did when getting to the scales was to shake Warren's hand... Calzaghe was excited, I would say much more excited than in the Kessler weigh-in but that's not a sign of fear either. Nobody can say that Calzaghe was not the one most concerned about the weigh-in so he probably was excited just for that reason, to show that he was not intimidated.

Don't mind these stans, only coverage of boxing back then in the UK was solely biased British fights:deal :-(
