Floyd holding world titles at 5 weight classes > Hopkins MW reign + LHW reign

but when it comes to opposition beaten

Trinidad, Tarver, Johnson, Pavlik, Brown, ODLH, Wright > Hatton, Marquez, ODLH, Judah, Corales, Castillo, Gatti

    Floyd definitely takes this.
Hopkins has a way over rated resume. Really he has 1 good win which was Glen Johnson.
An OK win in Tarver. But Oscar and Trinadad were coming UP. Most of the other's were complete crap. Take Morrade Hakkar as the BIGGEST JOKE of a TITLE DEFENSE in HISTORY.
Also he avoided lots of people. Though they both are guilty of this ...

Hopkins UD Tarver is a better win than any of Floyds wins.

Tarver was the man at LHW, and Hopkins jumped up 2 weight classes and dominated Tarver is a way that hasnt been done.

Hopkins ruled the Middleweight Division for 10 years so is expected to fight the likes of Hakkar once he already cleaned out the division. Hakkar was the best european MW out there who held the EBU title previously.

Its no different than Mayweather defending his SFW title against Manfredy.

Hopkins didnt avoid no one in the MW division. He fought the best SMW out there, the only LHW he should have faced is Dawson, but he is facing the man that beat him.

Mayweather didnt fight Cotto, Clottey, Williams and Margarito when they all held titles at WW at the same time. When it comes to ducking, Mayweather is leagues ahead of any fighter.

So was Marquez, Judah, Hatton, Castillo. This **** is over rated to bring up.

When it comes to opposition faced, and opposition beaten Hopkins > Mayweather.

When it comes to achievements Mayweather > Hopkins

I was just talking with my friend about this.

Hopkins takes way more risks. I remember taylor in his up and coming reign of terror and people were saying, Bernard will never fight him. He fought him twice.

20 title defenses, Trinidad, Tarver, facing Calzaghe, facing Pascal, facing Taylor twice and arguably winning or deserving a draw both times when Taylor was good and the best he would ever be, beating the snot out of Pavlik, going the distance with that very very prime Jones and actually winning a few rounds, Hopkins has longevity, activity, and accomplishments and risk taking on his side. Who hasn't he called out? He was calling out guys like Maskeav and Haye! Floyd took risks at 135 and below, but just stopped. Floyd has a better skill set in terms of being fun to watch, but Hopkins is a master of everything, from top to bottom, without having a lot of power or a lot of speed. He is average in his physical attributes except for his stamina being and super tough but his technique and mental toughness make him pretty hard to beat without a solid workrate to overcome his patience and win rounds. He is not the athlete Floyd is naturally, with all the speed and reflexes, but he is a great great great fighter.

Uh no Castillo was the real lightweight champion and Floyd moved up and fought him in his first fight in the division and Judah was already at welterweight longer than Floyd was and was bigger than Floyd. Look at my avatar for some damn proof.

Also Floyd didn't duck Cotto, Margarito or Clottey, but if you want to go there then, were the hell is James Toney on Bernard's resume
