    :good

Pascal isn't a master but he sure put it on P4P'er Dawson real nice right before the fight with Hopkins.

YES and think about those great middleweights and L-HWs who are already proven and set in stone, today they would have been welterweights & Jnr middleweights...

WHO then do you want to pair some with, Cerdan vs Hatton, Freddie Steele vs Curry, Lloyd Marshall vs Del LaHoya.

Moore vs Hagler, JHL vs Nunn, Bhop or JC

yes it works in the opposite too, but the better Era always wins it, because they proved it at natural weights & UP against fellow greats, so bring them forward fighting a division or two below, well in many, many cases these would be mismatches!!!

Just watching his fights after reading this thread him after completely dominating Pavlik just staring at the front row press knowing they have to eat their words was just awesome

Let's face it, TT. Hop was just too limited and didn't accomplish enough or beat anyone that good. ODLH? Who'd ODLH ever beat, Trinidad? Trinidad? Who'd Trinidad ever beat, ODLH? This man has no legacy. Solid fighter though. Now, you want a fighter with a legacy, take a Pacquiao or a Vitali Klitschko. Now, you've got a thread that will attract some love.

Saying Felix Trinidad was past it is serious revisionist history. He was undefeated and had just practically torn William Joppy`s head off for the WBA title.

I agree that all those guys Hopkins defeated were not great fighters but Consistantly beating good fighters over a long period of time makes him a great fighter.

    Similar to Larry Holmes.

Hopkins is one of the few fighters we'll all be really glad to have been around for years down the road when he's long since retired. Beating the pants off the reigning middleweight champ and then staring down press row? The mid-fight pushups in his title-winning effort against Pascal? Brilliant wins and epic moments. Dude is a ****ing legend of the highest caliber.
