wlad needs to move on if he can get a viable opponent like valuev or povetkin. it's taken too much time with this guy. if they can't get someone decent, then wlad may have no choice but too wait but he needs to be active and im sure Wlad wants to get in the ring ASAP

    Pretty much as expected.

Either they'll reschedule or Wlad will fight a filler while Haye heals and they do it in October or something.

This is hardly a unique situation after all.

correct. They are working on saving the date and not waiting for Haye... we waited to long already... we keep waiting for Haye, Wlad may not fight at all in 2009

I agree, but if he can't get any viable opponents i'd rather have him wait and fight in July, or worst case scenario in August. It's a huge fight, that would essentially help define his career. Fighting the others won't do anything.

It's unlikely that any replacement will be found and agree to terms that will keep this fight as high caliber as the WK-Haye showdown was supposed to be. Of course now Haye has a built in excuse - brilliant.

I'd love to see Wlad vs Valuev. But I'm afraid Valuev's handlers won't let him take the fight.

Wlad has stated his still wants to box on June 20th. If he does then, whether the injury to Haye is minor or major, Haye-Klitschko will not be in July, that's for sure!

I'm gutted for Haye, this was his big, big chance & for one felt he was going to do the business!

    Oh yes, Povetkin.

Well, they could take a leaf out of the WBC's book and logjam the hell out of the mandatories for a bit.

Or, just reschedule and not bother with a filler for Wlad.

It's all going to be dependant on how much time Haye needs to be out.

If they can't get Chag or Valuev, what else are they gonna do, but give Haye a month or so to heal?

Either that, and reschedule it (to the dismay of 60,000), or fight someone who will be zero competition for Wlad.........and that will also disappoint the 60,000 fans.......

Of course he is going to say that. But you have that many people paying that much money, in such a big stage, that its going to be hard to find anyone to fill that void. The only person that could possibly be would be Valuev, but Don King would give up his own kids before he lets Valuev fight the Klitschko's.

King must be trying to save Valuev for one final payday. He now has a chance in front of 60k fans in Germany. Heavyweight Unification. It doesn't get much bigger than that. I don't see a bigger fight coming Valuev's way for a LONG time if he doesn't take this.

Having said that, I still expect King to keep Valuev away, but it would be nice to see the fight.

Why is Chagaev's name still being brought up? He couldn't pass a physical to fight Valuev, why would Wlad want to fight a guy who could still have 'underlying heath issues'
